Mount Meru Game Lodge and Sanctuary is located 18 kilometres east of Arusha town and just 20 minutes from Kilimanjaro International Airport.  It is the ideal place to relax after your long international flight, before starting off next day on your safari.

The Lodge comprises 17 double or twin ensuite bedrooms. The design and character of the rooms are as individualistic as the Lodge itself. All rooms have a veranda with comfortable chairs for lazing in the peaceful surroundings, or watching the sanctuary's resident animals and birds.  The Dining Room offers local and international cuisine, and the bar (pictured below) is well stocked with a wide selection of spirits, beers and minerals, complemented by a carefully selected collection of fine wines.

Guests also contribute financially towards the cost of looking after the animals since approximately 10% of the room revenues are spent on staffing, food and the general well-being of all of the sanctuary's rescued animals.
