The Savoy Hotel, Yangon
Founded in 1995 and since then in private ownership, the Savoy Hotel is a five star colonial boutique hotel. All of its 85 full time employees are committed to a personalised and attentive service. The Savoy is ideally located within sight of the Shwe Dagon Pagoda.
All 30 rooms (24 deluxe rooms and 6 suites) express the charm of "the old days" with traditional Myanmar antiques, teak furniture and spacious bathrooms. Nicely overshadowed by tall old trees, the pool with its lounge area makes the Savoy Hotel a silent oasis in the middle of the buzzing city.
The 24 deluxe rooms have a choice of double bed or twin beds and offer the following: Welcome drink upon arrival; fruit basket and fresh flowers; bathroom amenities; bathrobes and slippers; unpacking service upon arrival on request; in-room safe deposit box; individual remote controlled air-conditioning; mini bar; hairdryer; IDD telephone; complimentary Wi-Fi; satellite TV and free in-house movies.
