Namibia is a land of contrasting landscapes - from the rainless desert of the famous 'Skeleton Coast' to the game-rich plains of Etosha, and from the incredible sand dunes of Sossusvlei to the majesty of the Fish River Canyon, one of the deepest gorges on the surface of the planet.

The Namib Desert is one of the oldest on earth, and the area has been inhabited since prehistoric times, yet Namibia today is (after Mongolia) the least densely populated country in the world.
