Felucca ride to Kitchener's Island

Take a relaxing excursion by felucca, the traditional Nile sailing boat.  Sail around Elephantine Island and the many smaller outcrops of land to visit the charming Botanical Garden on the 'Island of Plants', more commonly known as Kitchener's Island.  General Kitchener was given the island as a gift in gratitude of his military victory in Sudan and indulged his passion for exotic flora, importing shrubs and seeds from all over the world.  There are usually many colourful birds to be seen in the garden.
