Nubian Museum, Aswan
SHORE EXCURSION FROM YOUR CRUISE SHIP
Opened as recently as 1998, this small UNESCO-sponsored museum is housed in a modern building based on traditional Nubian architecture and contains a superb collection of some 5,000 artefacts from the region. The museum is well laid out and the exhibits are labelled in English. Amongst the top attractions of the museum are a quartzite statue of a Kushite priest of Amun, an eight metre high statue of Ramses II, horse armour from the Ballana tombs and frescoes from the Coptic churches of Nubia.
Includes transportation, guide and entrance fees.
