The Movenpick Resort is located amongst exotic landscaped gardens on Elephantine Island, close to Aswan town.  The hotel runs a regular shuttle boat between the island and the corniche at Aswan.

The hotel's main restaurant - the Orangerie (below left), offers a view to the pool and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There are two other restaurants - La Perla, the hotel's delightful Italian Restuarant overlooking the Nile, and the Pool Restaurant & Bar, offering light dishes, barbecues, drinks and ice cream.  There is also a Lounge Bar, outdoor swimming pool, spa, table tennis and floodlit tennis courts.
