For over 75 years, a visit to the ancient Angkor temples has been synonymous with a stay at Grand Hotel d'Angkor. Now sensitively restored by Raffles International, the hotel's renewed elegance and modernity complement the mystery and grandeur of Angkor as never before. The hotel is 4 storeys high and is built in two main blocks and three separate bungalow-style blocks. The outdoor swimming pool is one of the biggest in the country. The original lift from 1929, with its attractive wrought iron cage, is still in use.
World Discovery prices are based on the hotel's State Rooms (pictured right), which are located in the new wing of the hotel and provide a comfortable balance of modernity and classical elegance. The hotel's main restaurant offers Royal Khmer cuisine, handed down through the centuries by the chefs of the Royal Palace, encompassing the blending of ingredients with intriguing textures, complex aromas and fresh exhilarating flavours to create a distinctly elegant cuisine that can be enjoyed with a selection of more than 400 fine wines. The hotel's new wine cellar showcases one of the finest wine selections in Asia.
Café d'Angkor
This international restaurant with a Mediterranean atmosphere (pictured left) offers you the possibility of sampling Asian and continental dishes. You can choose from a sumptuous buffet selection or make your choice from the extensive à la carte menu.
Elephant Bar
A visit to Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor would be incomplete without having a signature cocktail at the famous Elephant Bar.
Poolside Terrace
The Poolside Terrace is well loved for dining under the stars as well as for its hearty snacks during the daytime. The menu features a delicious selection of RafflesAmrita Spa dishes for the more health conscious.
The Conservatory
The colonial atmosphere of The Conservatory will give you the feeling Somerset Maugham must have had, looking out over the pool and gardens whilst ordering a cocktail from the celebrity bar.
Apsara Terrace
This unique outdoor terrace is set in the hotel's lush gardens and is surrounded by sandstone structures inspired by the temples of Angkor.
RafflesAmrita Spa
RafflesAmrita Spas welcome travellers in search of fitness, serenity and rejuvenation. The name is inspired by an ancient Sanskrit legend, where deities searched for “Amrita”, the elixir of youth.
