Elgin Mount Pandim Hotel, Pemayangtse
The Elgin Mount Pandim is set in eight acres of virgin forest and landscaped gardens in the heart of Pemayangtse. The 300 year-old Pemayangtse monastery is right next to the hotel on a verdant hilltop covered by temperate oak forests.
Each of the 32 rooms (below right) has picture windows so you may enjoy the magnificent mountain views. The rooms are quiet and elegant and designed in the traditional Sikkimese style.
The Mount Pandim dining room (below left), which also enjoys wonderful views of the peaks, including Kanchenjunga, offers excellent food. The Lounge Bar, as well as serving internationally famous drinks, is also well stocked with a range of Sikkimese drinks like Tongba (Millet Fermented Beer).
