Naqsh-e-Rostam
PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR

Located 3 kilometres north of Persepolis, Naqsh-e-Rostam is well worth the visit. The main attraction is the froup of Royal Achaemenid Tombs carved high into the rock face (pictured). There is some dispute over exactly whose tombs they are, but they are believed to be (moving from left to right) those of Darius II, Artaxerxes, Darius the Great and Xerxes I. There are also seven magnificent Sassanian rock-reliefs (including Shapur the First’s famous victory over the Roman Emperor Valerian). Also included in the visit is Naqsh-e-Rajab, a nearby grotto with more Sassanid reliefs.
Includes private transportation, guide and entrance fees.
