Set amidst 18 acres of beautifully landscaped Moghul gardens (see picture below), this incomparable palace dates back to 1745. A masterpiece in the Indo Saracenic style of architecture, it blends opulence with modern comforts and is conveniently located downtown, close to the main shopping centre and historical monuments.
The Jai Mahal has 100 rooms including 6 suites. Rooms are decorated in the rich colours of Rajasthan and have miniature paintings, gold-hued silks, sheet curtains and stylish bathrooms. All the rooms have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, electronic safe, colour TV, direct dial telephone with satellite programmes and hair dryer. Wi-fi connectivity is available.
The Spa draws upon ancient Indian traditions and combines western and Indian therapies. Services range from the Rajasthan Ubtan, Royal Aromatic Massage and classical Swedish massage to holistic facials.
The Cinnamon restaurant offers a range of dishes from the many regions of India, whilst the charming open-air Italian restaurant, Il Giardino, serves Mediterranean-style cuisine close to the poolside. For all-day dining, the Marble Arch Coffee Shop has traditional and contemporary dishes along with seasonal local fare. For drinks there is the Marigold Bar; there is also a drinks service at the swimming pool.
