Visiting Petra during the day is of course one of the most amazing experiences you will ever encounter on your travels.  There's also now a new way of seeing Petra in the evening - by the light of more than 2,000 candles!  This magical excursion has proved a great success and we can organise this for you in advance if your stay in Petra coincides with one of the days on which the candlelight tour operates (currently Monday, Wednesday and Thursday each week in the main season, with a reduced frequency in the winter months).

The walk through the Siq takes on a new aspect as the rose-coloured rocks seem to glow from within.  Guides ask for all mobile phones to be switched off, and talking kept to a minimum, to add to the atmosphere.  On arrival at the Treasury you will be entertained by Bedouins playing their haunting music.
