Located close to the entrance to Petra, the Movenpick Resort is renowned for its intricate Arabesque interior design and collection of antiques and artwork.

The resort has 183 rooms and suites and 7 restaurants, lounges, bars, an attractive roof garden, a gift shop and library. There is a fitness centre with an outdoor swimming pool, steam bath and gymnasium.

Al Saraya is the main restaurant, featuring buffets and an a la carte menu. Buffet breakfast is served daily, along with international cuisine for lunch and dinner. For more formal dining the award-winning Al Iwan Restaurant is known for its lavishly prepared dinners as well as Mediterranean culinary delights. For an afternoon snack, or an evening cocktail, the Al Maqaad Bar should not be missed, whilst the Multaqa Lounge in the atrium, with its magnificent inlaid marble works, finely hand-crafted oriental wood decorations and traditional water fountain, makes the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing in Petra.

There is a roof garden - Al Ghadeer - serving snacks and drinks in an Arabic setting with 'Hubbly Bubbly' water pipes and Arabic live music entertainment. This is open only in the summer months, as is the Swimming Pool Terrace.
