KENYA SAFARI HOLIDAYS FACTFILE
DAY 1 - Depart UK.
Recommended flight from London: Kenya Airways from London Heathrow (see below). If you are travelling from a country other than the UK we would be happy to give you guidance on your flight options.
DAY 2 - Arrival in Nairobi.
On arrival in Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital city, you will be met by a representative of World Discovery and taken by private transportation to Macushla House, an intimate property which combines the amenities of a hotel with the warmth and character of a private home. The remainder of the day is free.

NAIROBI'S ONLY TENTED CAMP
If you would prefer to get straight into safari mode on arrival, there is now the option of the excellent 8-bedroom Nairobi Tented Camp, the only accommodation in Nairobi National Park (opened in 2012). Please ask for a quote.
DAY 3 - Fly to Naivasha.
After breakfast a transfer will be provided for the scheduled flight to Naivasha. On arrival at the Airstrip, the lodge vehicle will be waiting to drive you to Loldia House, a beautiful country retreat with a six bedroom manor house and two cottages with lawned gardens sweeping down to the shores of Lake Naivasha. Here guests are free to explore the farm with one of the guides, enjoy the interaction of farming activities and the wild animals which live alongside, and to explore the lakes and mountains of the Great Rift Valley. Included are adventures such as exploring the ranch, birdwatching, and visits to local farms.
Meals included: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner.
DAY 4 - Lake Nakuru.
Today you will enjoy an excursion to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its thousands of pink flamingos and pelican, a perfect place to experience one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles; search for the endangered Black and White Rhino who have found a safe haven here and enjoy the plains game. Lunch will be served under acacia trees overlooking the lake. Return to Loldia House in the afternoon.
Meals included: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner.
DAY 5 - Fly to the Masai Mara.
After a leisurely breakfast, a transfer will be provided to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to the Masai Mara, arguably the world's most famous game reserve, with unrivalled natural beauty and wildlife concentration and home to the Maasai people. You will be met on arrival by the camp driver and driven to Little Governors’ Camp situated on steep cliffs along the meandering Mara River. Have lunch and a siesta and later in the afternoon we will set out on a shared game drive in Mara which provides a home for the herds of migrating zebra and wildebeest as well as supporting substantial herds of elephant, hippo and buffalo. The nearby plains are the classical image of savannah Africa, dotted with acacia trees and fringed by the inspiring Siria escarpment.
Meals included: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner.
DAYS 6 AND 7 - Masai Mara.
Guests will be provided with three game drives each day, and being a stone’s throw away from the Mara River the action is easy to locate. Grazing animals are particularly common in this area and big cat sightings are also particularly prevalent as well and this is one reason the BBC’s 'Big Cat Diary' was filmed in this area. At the end of the day, guests can relax in a hot bath, enjoy a delicious meal then sink into a huge knotted olive-wood bed.
Meals included: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner each day.
