KENYA SAFARI HOLIDAYS FACTFILE
DAY 1 - Depart UK.
Recommended flight from London: Kenya Airways from London Heathrow (see below). If you are travelling from a country other than the UK we would be happy to give you guidance on your flight options.
DAY 2 - Arrival in Nairobi. Drive to Amboseli.
On arrival in Kenya's capital Nairobi you will be met by a representative of World Discovery outside immigration and customs. You will then be taken by road to the Amboseli Porini Camp, located in the Selenkay Conservancy in view of Africa's iconic highest mountain, the permanently snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. The Selenkay Conservancy is a 15,000 acre private game reserve within a vast tract of land owned by the Kisonko clan of the Maasai people. It is well off the beaten track and the animals are truly wild and tend to behave more naturally than those in the nearby national park.
Meals included: Lunch, dinner.

STOPOVER IN NAIROBI'S ONLY TENTED CAMP
For those who prefer a more relaxing start to their safari holiday, before heading off to Amboseli, there is now the option of staying overnight at the excellent 8-bedroom Nairobi Tented Camp, the only accommodation in Nairobi National Park (opened in 2012). Please ask for a quote.
DAY 3 - Amboseli Porini Camp.
In addition to the better-known game like elephant, lion, cheetah, giraffe and zebra, there are several less common species such as caracal, African wildcat, civet, gerenuk, lesser kudu and striped hyena. The camp's four-wheel-drive track links the Selenkay Conservancy to the Amboseli National Park so that you have the advantage of game drives in the park as well as in the exclusive private reserve.
Meals included: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner.
DAY 4 - Return to Nairobi. Fly to the Masai Mara.
In the morning return to Nairobi and have lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant before driving to Wilson Airport for your flight to Kenya's premier wildlife location - the Masai Mara National Reserve. Transfer to the Porini Lion Camp
in the exclusive Olare Orok Conservancy, a small 20,000 acre
conservancy which borders the Masai Mara and which is home to an
abundance of animals including the Big Cats for which the Mara is
famous.
Meals included: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner.
DAYS 5 AND 6 - Porini Lion Camp.
Enjoy two full days of activities, including a full day in the Masai
Mara with picnic lunch. Activities at the camp include escorted walks
with Maasai guides, sundowner drinks to watch the sunset from scenic
viewing points, and evening and night game drives in the Olare Orok
Conservancy.
Meals included: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner each day.
