DAY 1 - Depart UK.
Recommended flight from London: Jet Airways from London Heathrow (see below). If you are travelling from a country other than the UK we would be happy to give you guidance on your flight options.
DAY 2 – Arrival in Delhi.
On arrival in Delhi you will be met by a representative of World Discovery outside immigration and customs. You will then be taken by private car direct to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
DAY 3 – Fly to Khajuraho.
In the morning transfer to the airport for the Jet Airways flight to Khajuraho, where you will be met and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon your guide will take you to visit the astonishing temples of Khajuraho [more].

AGRA, THE TAJ MAHAL AND ORCHHA
For an additional £90 per person you could add two days to your itinerary by including visits to the old Mughal capital of Agra, home of the incomparable Taj Mahal, and also to the fascinating city of Orchha, before continuing to Khajuraho. [more]
DAY 4 – By road to Bandhavgarh.
A long journey today over fairly poor roads takes you to Bandhavgarh National Park, one of India's top wildlife sanctuaries, located in rugged terrain in the Vindhaya Hills. You should reach your lodge in the late afternoon.
Meals included: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner.
DAYS 5 AND 6 – Bandhavgarh National Park.
Bandhavgarh is home to a wide variety of animals including tiger, leopard, sloth bear, gaur (Indian bison), sambar (a large deer), chital (spotted deer), nilgai (blue bull), chinkara (Indian gazelle) and wild pigs. There are also many bird species. Two games drives each day (early morning and late afternoon) are included during your stay. Transport is by open jeep, or occasionally by elephant back.

DAY 7 – By road to Kanha.
After a morning game drive, leave Bandhavgarh and head for Kanha National Park, known worldwide as the setting for Rudyard Kipling's 'Jungle Book'. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon.

DAYS 8 AND 9 – Kanha National Park.
Kanha has 22 species of mammal including the common langur monkey, jackal, wild boar, chital, sambar (pictured left) and blackbuck. The park has an estimated tiger population of 100. Kanha is an excellent birdwatching destination, with over 230 species recorded. Frequently seen are minivets, black ibis, parakeet, babbler, indian roller, racket-tailed drongo, white-breasted kingfisher and hawk eagle.

DAY 10 – By road to Nagpur. Depart for home.
Morning game drive. Later in the day drive to Nagpur for the evening flight to Mumbai to connect with your homeward flight.

DAY 11 – Arrive UK.
Early morning departure from Mumbai, to arrive London Heathrow later the same morning.

We recommend the services of Jet Airways from London Heathrow. Flights are non-stop and have a choice of classes. Current timings (subject to possible change) are as follows:
Heathrow/Delhi. Depart at 20.45; arrive Delhi at 11.00 (next day)
Mumbai/Heathrow. Depart at 02.35; arrive Heathrow at 07.00
