Hotel Zangthopelri, Punakha

Named after the heaven of Guru Rimpoche and situated majestically on a hillock, the Hotel Zangthpelri in Punakha features spacious, well-designed rooms in small cabins as well as in the main building (pictured).  Simple but comfortable, this is a charming place to stay, and guests particularly enjoy the view of the rice terraces, Punakha river and constantly changing Himalayan vistas.

The hotel offers 45 comfortable rooms (below right) with attached bathroom and running hot and cold water. The other available facilities are: a restaurant serving Indian, Chinese, Bhutanese and continental cuisine (below left), a bar with a selection of international and local beverages, IDD telephone, in-house laundry and currency exchange facilities.
