Samode Haveli, Jaipur
India Holidays - Deluxe Room at Samode Haveli
The Samode Haveli was built over 150 years ago as the Samode Royal family’s suburban manor house and was converted into a heritage hotel in 1988. It is a small intimate hotel offering personalised service and a warm and friendly atmosphere enabling guests to relax and treat it as a home away from home.
The Samode Haveli is hidden deep in the busy streets of old Jaipur; its central location makes it a convenient place to stay, moments away from virtually all Jaipur’s attractions – historical and cultural monuments and also shopping and entertainment.
There are just 40 spacious rooms and suites, all individually designed and furnished with genuine antiques and fixtures; old family portraits adorn the walls. Most of the rooms have a separate dressing area. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom with separate shower and tub, air-conditioning, satellite TV and DVD player, minibar, in-room safe, international direct dial telephone, ipod dock, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
Additional deluxe suites were also opened in the haveli's New Wing in early 2012.
Samode Haveli features a spectacular dining room, hand-painted from floor to ceiling, which provides a special setting for dinner. There is also a beautiful airy verandah (lounge) where afternoon tea can be taken.
Other facilities include: an open air swimming pool with Moroccan-design tiles (pictured below) and a poolside bar, a steam room, spa and fully equipped gym, an outdoor Jacuzzi and a wading pool for children, laundry, a gift shop, currency exchange, room service, and doctor on call.
